A single sheet of acetate, folded and folded again.
This is a procedurally generated analogue of a photogram — light passing through translucent film onto the page. Every fold adds another layer for the light to cross, and where the folds stack the film holds more of it back, so the image lightens: a soft, luminous bloom that builds up fold over fold.
Each preview steps from a single fold up to twenty. Select any frames you like and render them at full size to download — a full render takes a little time, so give it a moment.
